Man, this car is easy to slide, but also easy to get back into shape.
Happy Spring everyone!

Nice! Do you even do anything with the hand brake or throttle to start the slide, or it just goes?

No handbrake necessary, just a little steering and a heavy right foot. I also left foot brake but in this scenario, no need. Starting from a slow roll I just turn in, heavy dose of throttle, then countersteer.
I can say from experience that your Volvo will do this beautifully too. I used to do it in my wife’s AWD S40.

Ooh excellent. Can’t wait for snow! Unfortunately it’ll be at least nine months before that might happen again around here.

nice.
how well did your brakes work after that?

I do this in my Outback XT. Sometimes I include a clutch kick to initiate traction loss and then on the power. Just started trying that out this winter and enjoyed it.

Clutch kick would definitely do it! This car is rear-biased, so I really don’t need to encourage it much, especially in 1st gear. But yeah.

Not me I swear.

hahaha, one could write that report “...between 8:00 and 8:15 am every time it snows at the end of [my road]”
Thankfully my neighbors are not only far enough away not to mind, but they would probably come out and cheer me on if they noticed.
